Adrion Perez is a Federal Funds Recovery Coordinator for the New Jersey Office of the Governor, Governor’s Disaster Recovery Office. Joining this role in January 2022, Adrion coordinates disaster recovery funds totaling more than $100 billion across the State and proposes use strategies that conjoin equity, policy, and resiliency goals. Adrion also developed disasterhelp.nj.gov in partnership with emergency management partners, serving as New Jersey’s one-stop directory of disaster recovery resources for residents, small businesses, and local governments. Adrion contributes his expertise and passion for equitable disaster recovery policy and resilient investment as member of New Jersey’s Interagency Council on Climate Action, the State Emergency Management Program Stakeholders group, various executive steering committees, and as part of community engagement events. Prior to joining the Governor’s Office, Adrion assisted thousands of disaster survivors nationwide in his role as Disaster Recovery Specialist with the United States Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Assistance. In volunteer experiences, Adrion was deployed in response to COVID-19 by the American Red Cross, donated over 500 hours of service to the Liberty Science Center as a STEM ambassador, and participated in multiple mass-casualty incident drills led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
