
Dr. Dena L. Winslow is the Tribal Planner and Grant Writer for the Mi’kmaq Nation, the most Northeasterly Federally recognized Indian Tribe in the United States located in far Northern Maine. Dr. Winslow holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maine and is the author of seven published books, and has also contributed to other books and publications. She has been fortunate to have a wide and varied career ranging from teaching high school and college; serving as the Executive Director of a state-wide non-profit organization; as well as the Executive Director of Workforce Investment for two of Maine’s largest counties. In her spare time she enjoys flying the hot air balloon that she built, and flying her drone. But, most of all, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
