Currently, I’m Assistant Director at Texas Tech’s TRIO SSS program, guiding 140 students towards academic success. My initiatives boosted program visibility by 15%, attracting 40 high-potential participants, and increased student success rates by 10%. Previously, as a Toxicologist, I tackled PFAS contamination at SES Civil and Environmental. I implemented performance standards, leading to a 70% efficiency boost. Managing well sampling, I increased throughput by 60% while reducing errors by 50%. My analysis of treatment systems identified hazards, resulting in a 5% risk reduction through mitigation strategies. My research passion started early. As a Graduate Research Assistant, I led projects on drug residues in deer (resulting in 3 publications) and the impact of antibiotics on their gut microbiome. At Prairie View A&M, I supervised 11 researchers, improving lab efficiency by 30% and reducing project completion times by 20%. My research spanned analyzing food-borne pathogens and assessing water quality. Beyond work, I prioritize balance with a weightlifting routine and roller derby. This multifaceted approach allows me to face challenges with knowledge, dedication, and a drive to make a positive impact. If you catch me outside of work, I’m an avid lover of several sports such as track & field, tennis, roller derby, football, soccer, basketball, netball.
