Nathan Lunstad, PhD, PE
Director, Division of Drinking Water
Dr. Nathan Lunstad has 28 years of professional engineering experience as a consultant, city engineer, and state regulator. Dr. Lunstad is the Director for the Division of Drinking Water in the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. He works with elected officials and other water agencies to develop and review Division-related legislation, and advises, consults, and cooperates with the other state water agencies, Local Health Departments, the EPA, many state public water systems, and non-government agencies to carry out the Division’s regulatory responsibility. Nathan represents the Division with federal, state, and local government units, in the media, and on various boards, councils, committees, and helps implement programs that ensure consistency and continuous improvement of drinking water programs to efficiently protect public health.
