Nylah Oliver is the Sustainability Director for the City of Savannah, Georgia, where she leads the City’s efforts to advance clean energy and its 100% Savannah Clean Energy Plan. She brings nearly a decade of experience driving sustainability and social impact strategy across the public and private sectors.
Ms. Oliver previously served as Head of Social Responsibility and Environmental, Social, and Governance for a U.S. Southeast single-family rental real estate company. There, she led cross-functional sustainability and social impact initiatives across a 600-unit housing portfolio, driving energy efficiency and conservation efforts, and vendor diversity programs resulting in over $7 million in minority- and women-owned enterprise spending. She has held prior roles at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), United Parcel Service (UPS), and the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she managed sustainability reporting, including on COVID-19 global vaccine equity; and advanced goals on health and humanitarian relief, equity and economic development, local community engagement and planet protection.
Ms. Oliver holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus in Urban Planning and Economic Development from Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.
